Let’s stomp out the stigma
I’m sharing my story – my trauma, mental illness, my rock bottom and recovery.
Putting myself out there is part of a program that’s helped me thrive in sobriety.
I’m baring my soul in my blog, memoir, livestream show and podcast.
I’m ripping off the proverbial Band-Aid so my soul can heal …
… And so others can see they’re not alone.
We’re creating a safe place to cry, laugh and learn together.

I’m a work in progress
This all began as a memoir. The day after I got out of rehab, I ran a marathon. That afternoon, I began writing. One step at a time, I finished the memoir and laid the groundwork for a livestream show and a podcast. Once it’s safe, I’m eager to speak in treatment centers, in auditoriums packed with healthcare experts, and even on the statehouse floor to lobby for greater opportunities for survivors of addition and mental illness. Again, one step at a time. I hope you’ll join me on this journey.
I’m not an elite runner by any stretch.“40,000 Steps”
I’d rather be a great human being, a loving husband and father, who just happens to be good at running.
